Kyndal turned the big 18 months on the 17th, but we didn't have her check-up until today, so here's another little update about her life.
Stats: 22 lbs, 31.5 inches tall, size 3 shoes
Random K facts:
*She hates the doctor, she yelled at him when he was checking her. He says "ok, all done" and then she yells back "ALL DONE!!!" and continues crying. Haha, you're dang right you're all done! Love it. She also got mad at him because the stethoscope was too "cole, cole", so he warmed it up more for her.
*She's holding on for dear life to still 2 naps a day, plus waking up at 8:30 or 9am and bedtime at 7:30pm. The next one I'm sure will not ever sleep just to let us know how the other half lives.
*L O V E S bathtime.
*Gets put in timeout a lot for throwing her full bowls of food on the floor if she doesn't want to eat what I've given her. We're working on her actually staying in timeout however,,,
*She adores to help wipe up messes and pick up crumbs, so when we have her help clean up the mess she'd made on the floor, it's really more of a joy than a punishment. .....
*Successfully weathered nursery without one of us with her on Sunday! Wow, did you know they actually teach lessons at church?
*Makes us both cry because she says "yuv ou" back to us now (for I love you).
*Is currently obsessed with Toy Story 2 (and only TS 2, the first one is garbage apparently). The child that never sits will sit for a full 1.5 hours and watch intently. This is the only thing she'll watch for longer than 10 minutes.
*She runs away and/or hides whenever we try to change her diaper, her clothes, sit in her highchair, anything. I'll post several pictures where most of her is naked because she's run away from me mid-change (and because running after her makes me dizzy and ill).
*She's now allowed corn to be added to her list of big kid food that already includes beans, yogurt and cereal w/ milk. Thought we'd gotten pb&j sandwiches on there, but that was a one-time deal.
*Much to the delight of her Dad, she can correctly identify baseball, football and basketball. She even recognizes the basketball hoop at church (nope, no sports in this house!).
*She love love loves to be tossed around and tickled on the couch, bed, whatever. She'll let you know she's ready for some rough-housin' by throwing herself on pillows on the couch. However she does get pretty hyper with the throwing herself around and last night dealt me a wicked blow to my nose. No blood or bones broken, but it radiates pain whenever her head comes near me now.
*Unpacking anything and everything in the pantry is super fun these days! I wonder what genius thought the lever-style handles were ever a good idea, especially without following up with child-proofing options. Since we're in a rental we can't really drill a hole in everything to put a slide lock on it.
*She hates having her feet dirty so she'll stop whatever she's doing and hold her foot up and whine at me to get the crumbs off of it. Yes, I need to sweep more often but 17 times a day is just over-kill.
*She is a fabulous attention-loving little show off and it's great. Once she's warmed up to ya, she'll entertain you for however long you are prepared to sit there for it. Show you her shoes, her toys, the TV that has Toy Story on it, show you how she can throw herself on the floor, do yoga, show off her toys again, etc. She most loves to con people in to playing with her toys with her. She gets a special crazy little smile and laugh for an audience (especially JD's family!).
Here are some of her hiding exploits and a little gem thrown in at the end for your daily dose of laughter. Oh, and if you are wondering what is on her arm in this first pic, it's an eye sticker that came off a craft she'd (I'd) made. That was the day she was obsessed with sticking it on herself.

Look at the PONYTAIL!!!!!!!
So we woke her up on Saturday morning and she was staring at my pajama shorts like "mom, what on earth could you possibly be thinking wearing those clown shorts". She stared at them for probably close to a minute and didn't smile at me, nothing. Just the "you're embarassing me" face. Excuse my face, my eye itched right when the pic was taken.

What fun little facts! She's not gaining weight very fast though...
By the way you look really skinny in that picture! Love you.
Holy 18 months already! That's crazy! She is such a cutie! It's so fun to read all the fun things she is doing and what she likes to do! I hope you had a good birthday too! Funny how you and Corban have the same birthday!
I'm with Heidi, you look crazy skinny in that pj pic! All this "I've already gained pregnancy weight" thing is a bunch of hooey, I'd say! :)
We had the same "cleaning" issue with Jocelyn cause she liked to help clean. So whenever she made a mess we made her watch us clean it up and she couldn't help. Then it really was a punishment. But don't worry her desire to want to clean eventually goes away.
It's just an illusion, promise. If I turned more to the side THEN you'd see it. But thanks anyway :)
She sounds like a perfect first child sleeping through the night and not putting up a fuss in nursery. Our second was a nightmare for sleep schedules. I think the feet part is so funny because Kiley is still like that and she's six. If her feet are dirty, she will go get a baby wipe and clean them. It doesn't matter where we are. Girls are funny.
PS: I did freehand the leaves, but I was so nervous.
THAT IS WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE WHEN YOU FIRST WAKE UP IN THE MORNING!?!?! SO SO not fair!!! Hello beauty queen!!!
